4Winds Specialty Tours is a tour division of Travel Leaders/Columbia Basin Travel Inc. in Richland, Washington. We specialize in European Bicycle and Barge Tours. Travel Leaders/Columbia Basin Travel Inc. opened its doors in 1983. Travel Leaders is an established, fully licensed and bonded IATA, ASTA and CLIA travel agency.
Offering distinct and unforgettable European bicycle and barge tours in Holland, Belgium, France and Italy, we work with each client to make sure they are booked on the “right” tour for their interests.
Elfriede Wind, now retired, started offering European bicycle and barge tours in 1989 from Colorado. After a move to West Richland, WA, she contracted to sell her tours under the supervision of Travel Leaders. As a result, the company was renamed 4Winds Specialty Tours.
As a native of Holland, Elfriede introduced the now very popular Holland bike/barge tours. She is the creator of the “Springflower” and “Holland Meets Belgium” tour. 4Winds still offers these tours, as well as a select group of bike and barge tours in Belgium, France and Italy.
Nancy Marquart, Tour Specialist
Nancy has worked at 4Winds for 10 years, and has begun selling the tours herself. Working in the travel industry for 23 years, Nancy brings her love of travel to her clients. She relies on her own first-hand knowledge, plus the support of Travel Leaders’ expert agents, in handling her clients’ reservations on their unique European Bicycle and Barge Tours.
Over the past few years, 4Winds Specialty Tours has chartered barges to private groups of 10-26 people and is able to help you customize your Holland barge charter. We will work with you to determine which tour is best suited to your needs. Pre and post tour accommodations are also handled in house, offering you the ability to book hotels, airfare, travel insurance and even other tours with 4Winds Specialty Tours. In the past we have worked with cyclist and non-cyclist groups and families to create memorable European Bicycle and Barge tours.
